Description: Harvington, The Waseley Hills Press, 1993. Paperback. A very scarce and beautifully produced copy of this poem by Welsh author, William Henry Davies. Being one of seven copies produced. In a wonderful condition, this poem has been printed on hand-made paper from the Wookey Hole Paper Mill. The Wookey Hole Paper Mill is a hand-made paper mill which uses Victorian machinery. Paper was originally made at Wookey Hole mill by W S Hodgkinson and co. who produced fine drawing papers, security and bank note paper for many years. The family owned paper mill closed in 1972. Since then the mill has operated on a small scale as an exhibit. This paper would have been made from the small hand-made mill. This work is number 5 of seven copies produced. The work was hand-set in 12 point Baskerville and printed on a Farley Proofing Press October 1993. The decorative letter to the start of the poem is hand-coloured as is the vignette illustration to the title page. W H Davies was a Welsh poet and writer. He was one of the most popular poets of his time. Thematically, his writings tend to be about life's hardships, the human condition and his own adventures. A lovely and uniquely presented copy of this work. In the original paper wraps. Externally, very smart with just some minor creasing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound.
