With publisher's advertisements to the rear of the text. This work was translated from its original German by A. Cusin. Featuring a tipped in bookplate of the noted scholar of Semitic languages and Jewish culture Herbert Martin James Loewe to the front pastedown, dated 'July, 1914' from the Exeter College, Oxford where Loewe worked as a lecturer in Semitic languages from 1913 until 1931. In the publisher's original cloth binding with gilt detail to boards and spine. Externally minor shelfwear to extremities. Bumping to head and tail of spine resulting in small splits and loss to cloth. Slight marking to boards. Prior owner's bookplate tipped to front pastedown. Front hinge tender, showing cords with front free-endpaper detached, not present. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned but bright and clean, with the odd spot to the occasional page.
