Written and illustrated by Charles George Harper. Harper was an author and illustrator who published many travel books, most of which he illustrated himself. His travel works explored the roads, coastlines, inns, and literary connections of Britain. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. A very little marking to the boards. Front hinge of Volume II is starting but firm. Internally, binding of Volume I is lightly strained in places but remains firm, where as Volume II is generally firmly bound.
