Tennyson is perhaps one of Britain's best loved poets, and is still the longest acting poet laureate for Britain, holding the position for forty-two year, right up until his death in 1892. Nancie Campbell was educated in Edinburgh, and spent much of her early career cataloguing the Edinburgh Local History Collection as well as several other important archives in Edinburgh. Externally very smart, with light rubbing to the extremities. Dustwrappers are generally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and also to the extremities. Light rubbing to both of the dustwrappers. Small tears to the front and rear joints of the volume I dustwrapper. Small closed teat to the rear joint of the dustwrapper for volume II, towards the head. Two very small closed tears to the extremities of the dustwrapper. Internally firmly bound.
