Huret expanded his work to include social discussion regarding foreign countries, travelling first across Europe and then to the USA, writing two works on the subject. This work, "En Amérique. De New-York à la Nouvelle-Orléans", first published in the Parisian paper, Le Figaro, discusses a range of subjects regarding American culture, including his view regarding Harvard, the famous New York hotel, The Waldorf Astoria and the New Orleans carnival.
