It is stated to the title page that this is a 'most pleasing, fascinating tale&apos. Written by M. B. K. who has since been indentified as a 'Miss Broderick&apos. With a frontispiece and an illustrated title page. Prior owner's ink inscription to the verso to the frontispiece, 'Susunnah Wood Booth Fold&apos. Undated, dated using copac. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the boards, joints, and to the spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Evidence of bookplate removal to the front pastedown. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the odd scattered spot and handling mark. Prior owner's ink inscription to the verso to the frontispiece, 'Susunnah Wood Booth Fold&apos. Very Good .
