The first edition of these works, complete in two volumes. 'International Thought' is an interesting political essay, written during the tumultuous time in Britain between the wars. The profits for the sale from this pamphlet was donated to the League of Nations Union. 'For Love of Beasts' is a novella advocating for animal rights. It was originally published in Pall Mall Gazette, before being reprinted by a number of animal welfare societies. John Galsworthy was known for his work in causes such as women's rights, animal welfare, and prison reform. He also helped in a hospital during the First World War in France, after having been passed over for military service. Galsworthy is best known for his 'The Forsythe Saga', a trilogy about a family that deals a lot with class divisions. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1932, a year before his death. Some of his other works include 'The Silver Box', 'Justice', 'The Skin Game', 'The Fugitive', 'The Eldest Son', and 'Beyond&apos. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart.
