Henry Home, Lord Kames was a founder member of the Philosophical Society of Edinburgh and this work demonstrates Home's work, findings and philosophical thought over his lifetime. In full calf bindings. Volume I has been entirely rebound with the original boards preserved. Repairs to the board edges. Volume II has been rebacked with the original spine and boards preserved.
