An illustrator and cartoonist, Robinson is best known for drawing elaborate and outlandish machines, design to complete simple tasks. This particular work includes sixteen illustrations by the artist. Acquired from a sale of the publisher J.M Dent's reference library, with this works being 'File Copies&apos. With 'File Copy' stamps to several leaves. Joseph Malaby Dent was a British book publisher best known for the Everyman's library series. In full cloth binding, with decorative front board. Externally smart. Slight rubbing to the spine, joint and to the extremities. Handling marks and spotting to the rear board. Slight subbing ot the spine, alongside a small tide marks. Spotting to the foredge and to the bottomedge. Spotting to the front and rear endpapers and pastedown. Stamp to the front endpaper. Internally firmly bound.
