Description: London, Thomas Nelson and Sons, c1955. Cloth. An adventure novel by Scottish children's author, Lennox Kerr. With original, unclipped dustwrapper. This copy is undated and from the 'Triumph Series' by Nelson. Copy on copac dated [1936] is from the 'New Era Series&apos. Other works from the Triumph Series by Nelson are form the 1950s. Only other copac entry is dated 1955. Stamp to the recto of front endpaper dated '4 May 1955&apos. This work follows William Boyd and his friend Red Kelly who, along with William's father sailed across the Arctic sea in search of the Eye of the Earth. This arctic tale is aimed at children. James Lennox Kerr was a Scottish socialist author. He often wrote children's stories under the pseudonym of 'Peter Dawlish&apos. In original full cloth binding and held in original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with little to no shelfwear. Dustwrapper is vert smart with small closed tear to the bottom of wrap at the front and rear. Small closed tear to the head of the rear wrap. Several marks, mostly damp staining, to the rear wrap, A few marks to the spine. Small stamp to the front endpaper, 4 May 1955. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with just the odd spots to pages. Near Fine . Ill.: J P Paterson. Near Fine/Very Good.
