Prior owner's bookplate to the front pastedown of all volumes, F S Darwin Esq, S.E.S Library Presented 1935. Front hinge to vol IV of Middle-Ages is strained but firm. Rear endpaper to vol X has become adhered to the rear pastedown resulting in tears at the gutter. Rear hinge to this volume is strained but firm. Library dockets to the rear pastedown of all volumes, with library check-out card. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Spotting to the first and last few pages.
