Oblong hardback, appx 12 1/2 x 15 1/2 inches, decorated cloth, light grey on light beige, VG/no dj. 52 pages, textured tan end-papers, glossy stock, color printing throughout. The story of planning, designing, building the Desert Mountain golf community in Arizona. Number of pictures of Jack Nicklaus, Frank Lloyd Wright, John Rattenbury (Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation) plus a satellite or high-altitude aerial photograph. One of the pages is a b&w topographic map and has 4 (multi-colored) translucent overlays labeled: Proposed Land Usage, Site Analysis, Slope Analysis and Elevation Analysis. The overlays have a slight bit of (natural) wrinkling. "Desert Mountain is a private master planned community where membership is provided with property ownership." Numerous inspirational photographs and quotes (John Muir, H.G. Wells, Blake, Hawthorne). Sound binding. Other than a couple of printing/binding anomalies, Very Nearly Fine. (Of six chapter-heading pages printed in solid dark grey with type reversed out to white - one shows four tiny, almost pinhole-sized spots where the ink has picked off on the press and one shows signs of having been "glued" or stuck to the facing page with noticeable damage to the grey page in two thin 1 1/2 inch streaks, less notice able effects to color photo on facing page.) , Very Good.
