Description: Boston, Estes & Lauriat, 1881. 1881. Hardcover . Hardbacks, 12mos, 5 x 7 3/4 inches, light red-orange (salmonish) cloth w/ spines and front covers highly decorated in gilt & black, overall condition VG-. Handsome but incomplete set, 25 1/2 inches of shelf space, books weigh appx 27 pounds. A mix of conditions. I ve graded 7 volumes as VG+, 3 as VG or better, 3 as G+ and 1 as G- since nice but missing the title page. Some simple hinge & gutter repairs etc. will be made after which I might want to improve a few of those scores. The pages remain white (are not tanned), and the books were published w/ frontispieces but not w/ protective tissues. Missing volume seems to perhaps be Martin Chuzzlewit. Actual postage will have to be determined & quoted. Very Good.
