The caricature plates (257 in all) are all quite nice excepting decreasing moisture effects (smallish area of gray discoloration & a little dark spotting) in the lower margin/cut line area of the last 4 or 5 plates in the Fifth Series album, and the last plate in that album, the one with with the worst of the moisture effects, is shown in one of the photos here. First Series has 48 of 48 plates, Second has 53 of 53, Third has 52 of 52, Fourth has 52 of 52, Fifth has 52 of 52. Front covers clean showing some wear but not a lot. Back covers decent excepting moisture effects along lower edge of Fifth Series album. Condition rating of Very Good meant to reflect the overall condition of the caricatures alone while the bindings alone are Fair to Good and tend towards being fragile, compromised & unsound w/ scattered loose pages and gutter splits. Contents incl ads in b&w. Previous owner initial and last name Crawford in ink across title pages of albums 1, 2 & 3. Very Good.
