Hardback, later printing (b&w illustrations, no color plates), tall octavo, appx 7 x 9 1/4 inches, black titling on tan cloth covers, colorful dj, 281 pages, VG+ to Near Fine in G+ dj (dustjacket now in protective mylar). Book itself nearly flawless in a tight binding w/ square corners, rear endpapers couple of tiny spots o/w crisp and clean inside and out incl no names & no writing incl the endpapers. DJ front flap corner-clipped, very clean, no fading, very short splits at the corners, small amt of rubbing chipping fore-edge folds, very minor surface rubbing along center of spine and spine folds, small chip repair top edge front panel, appx 1/2-inch chip out head of spine ("The" partially affected in the title). Very Good/Good.
