Repaired gutter split at half-title and rear hinge. Uniform and mostly minor rubbing to edges, corners and spine-ends, with head of spine a little worse at minor to moderate. Otherwise not a great deal of wear or soil, but good-sized corner of frontis ripped off affecting only the 10% background tint, not the image of the captain speaking to the woman. Not sure what "Road" is referred to, as the story seems to be set on the high seas. Embossed image on spine and front board is of a lighthouse and clouds in the background. Good.
