INCOMPLETE COPY!!!!! 4 (four) plates missing!!!! In spite of the fine overall condition, there are some plates lacking; Plates: 101 & 102 misbound, wanting the double page plates; 112-13 & 114-15 &124-25 as well as the single plate: 88. This book was published in installments, propably one went asray before binding the lot..Margins slightly browned, right-hand side of upper cover with some unobstrusive, damp damage and a number of rubber stamps by the former owner at verso of plates. In spite of the mentioned defects, a monumental work on antique Asian carpets of the greatest rarity and value. Fair.
