Crowder first published this work in 1774; the second edition appeared in 1779, the third in 1783, a fourth edition in 1788, and a fifth edition in 1795 . This edition thus appears between the first and second edition, but without an edition statement. Most of the extracts are from the standard periodical literature of the period. ESTC T116459 locates copies in BL, NLS, Bodleian; Princeton. All copies are relatively uncommon.
