Penn (1727 - 1800) published two more volumes with the same title in 1758 and 1762, but with different contents. Penn takes a more liberal attitude towards the growth of deism and free-thinking than some of his fellow clergyman, as is evident in "An Essay upon the Reasonableness of Free-Thinking Religious Matters, and The Weakness and Danger of relying upon Human Authority."
