In the early 1750s he began experimenting with printing on tiles: commercial production working with Guy Green began in 1756-7 and they bacame partners in 1761. He sold his printing presses in 1766 and retired altogether in 1770, handing over the transfer-printing business to Guy Green" (British Museum). This is a re-issue of the 1754 first edition, with a cancel title-page and the introduction of a frontispiece. A second volume was also published in 1756,
