Description: Llanfynydd, Carmarthenshire, Wales, Unicorn Bookshop. 1974, First Thus. Soft cover. Book, Pictorial pink card covers. Small mark on front cover, slight crease centre of back cover. "Novalis (the pseudonym of Friedrich von Hardenberg) was born in Prussian Saxony, May 2, 1772, and died 25th March 1801, at Freiberg. His writings, which include 'Hymns to the Night' and the novel 'Heinrich von Ofterdingen', were issued after his death by Ludwig Tieck and Friedrich Schlegel, and assumed such importance in the context of German and European literature that Novalis became known as 'the prophet of the Romantic school'. 'Klingsohr's Fairy Tale', most probably composed in the mid-1790s as a piece in its own right, was later used by Novalis to form a part of 'Heinrich von Ofterdingen' (1799).". Very Good/No Jacket.
