Sinister Sign Post 15: 1936, hardback in good condition, text clean and unmarked, binding tight, Board cover clean, newer style dust jacket is good and shows slight signs of wear, with some dings. 2. Figure in Hiding 16: 1937, hardback in good condition, text clean and unmarked, binding tight. Board cover clean, dust jacket is good and shows only slight signs of wear. Spine is orange colored 3. The Secret Warning 17: 1936, hardback in good condition, text clean and unmarked, binding tight. Board cover clean, dust jacket is good and shows only slight signs of wear has a few dings. The Hardy Boys were the creation of Edward Stratemeyer. After answering a newspaper advertisement a Canadian newspaper writer, Leslie McFarlane, was hired by Edward Stratemeyer to ghostwrite the stories for a flat payment of $125 each, using the name Frank Dixon. The first three titles were released in May 1927. The rest is history. The brown board bindings came into use in the 1930ies and remained through the 1950ies. The dust covers changed over the years with the yellow spine remaining until the 1950ies. Depending on location additional shipping may be required Good/Good.
