Rosa May not only ran Cad Thompson's high class parlor house she ended her days in Bodie as a well respected madam (by the miners) and member of the community who in time of epidemic jumped in to nurse the miners. Banished as an outcast by the society of Bodie she was forgotten until Williams found her story and tells it in this book. B&W photos, bibliography, 198 pages. Good.
