Text is clean and unmarked, binding tight, all staples in place nothing loose. Cover is clean and shows little signs of wear. This is the exhibit catalog of works on display at the event in 1959. Pelletreau was apprenticed to Simeon Soumaine in 1741 at the age of 15. On completion of his apprenticeship in 1758, he was admitted as a freeman of New York in 1750 and opened his own shop. His patron died that same year and he was it is thought able to purchase many of the tools and supplies or perhaps he inherited some of them. At the time it cost about 1,500. to set up a shop. Most of his early work was done with coin silver or repair work involving the reusing of older pieces. There were 163 pieces of his work in the exhibit most are showing in B&W photos in this booklet. 48 pages. Good.
