As the song states "Listen my boys and you will hear my troubles on the old Chisholm Trail." Abilene was at the end of that trail. While its time as a high riding was a short 9 years, it still is known by its then reputation as the "wildest"cowtown in the west. This small book details the rise and fall of Abilene as Americans cattle trading center. Good/Fair.
