While on the leading edge of this advertising he did a survey of the stations, which were unhappy with the results. He soon found that the radio stations had blacklisted him. He did some writing for KYA and also for NBC under an assumed name. He was behind the series winning the West, Hawthorne House and did police and children's stories for radio as well. In this book you will meet many of the early characters of San Francisco which were part of his series on KNBC under "The California Story". The series ran for almost a quarter of a century.
