A printed prefatory note states, 'This Catalogue has been drawn up by Mr. E.T. Newton, Assistant Naturalist, under my superintendence. The Specimens have been named by Mr. Etheridge, F.R.S., Palaeontologist to the Geological Survey of Great Britain. - T.H. Huxley.'.
