Illustrated by Barbara Briggs, F.Z.S. Eleanor E. Helme (1887-1967) was an accomplished golfer, member of the English 1911-1920 Womens international golf teams, and member of the Association of Golf Writers (AGW). She also wrote a series of natural history books for younger readers, including the 'Feathered Friends' series..
