This volume (in two parts) includes all representatives of the family Nymphalidae that were not grouped in Satyrinae, Danainae and Amathusiinae printed in volumes 1 and 3. The Introduction includes information on systematics of subfamilies, the imago morphology, habits and habitats and life-cycles. Checklist includes all taxa names found in Vietnam and recently revised. Part I includes 110 species in nine subfamilies. Part II includes 122 species from subfamily Limenitidinae. A total of 265 taxa (species and subspecies) are found in Vietnam, of which 18 species and 29 subspecies have only recently been described from the country. Inclues data on type locality, synonyms, range, distribution and variations in Vietnam, taxonomic notes and similar species. All species are illustrated, some types of new taxa are figured for the first time.
