Occasional light foxing/spotting, a little heavier to flyleaves, half-titles, and title pages. Very occasional neat pencil annotations to margins. Withdrawn from an institutional library with neat ink stamps to versos of half-title, title pages, and final pages. Good. With small gilt heraldic roundel of Charles George Milnes Gaskell (1842-1919), British Liberal Party Member of Parliament for Morley (West Riding of Yorkshire) and Lawyer, to endpapers.. First edition. Scarce large paper edition, of which only 50 copies were produced (see p. v). A finely bound set of Upcott's extensive bibliography of English Topography, arranged by county, an important resource for antiquarians, bibliophiles, and historians. William Upcott (1779–1845) was an English librarian and antiquary, for many years he was assistant librarian at the London Institution.
