The Loves of the Plants, poetically elaborates on the Linnaean system of plant classification, and is a hallmark of Darwin's playful and imaginative style. This edition printed in Dublin, differs from its more commonly seen English counterparts, is embellished with two plates by Irish engraver Charles Henecy (fl. 1787-1808).
