Corners bumped / worn, some wear head + foot of spines, both spines chipped to head with minor loss; joints beginning to crack, but firm. Marginal browning to titles + prelims, some old damp staining to top of title / first few pages of vol. 2, otherwise clean with occasional spotting.. 2nd edition (first published anonymously in 1762), with the author's name given on title page, and the words 'que se trouvent aux environs de Paris' ommitted from the title, otherwise identical with the first edition.
