Published first in Historical Review v. 1, 1981 of the Bulgarian Academy of Science. Scarce title, listed in World Cat. Dr. Pantev was born in 1939 in the village of Racovica, region of Vidin... In 1961 he got a degree in History at Sofia University. Between 1962 and 1965 Prof. Pantev worked in the History Museumin Vidin. Now he is a professor, doctor of history, president of the Bulgarian association of American research, member of Parliament. Scientist, researcher and publicist, who has had bright and original presence in Bulgarian intellectual life for about 40 years with his work, comprising 50 eminent scientific research papers and over 500 publications. One of Bulgaria's intellectual idols, who does not follow doubtful ideology postulates and does not obey dogmas. Professor Andrei Pantev specialized in England, Australia and USA, He is a visiting professor and delivers lectures in famous and prestigious universities in Western Europe, North America, Japan and Australia, as well as in almost all Bulgarian universities and institutions of higher education. He is the author of many course books and school aids on the history of Bulgaria and the modern world. The Professor has an extremely impressive and active presence in some popular programs, discussing History, emitted by the Bulgarian National Television.
