Inside of front cover has texture of lace pattern on the front. Authors initials in stylized, cursive lettering on back cover in white. No date listed for publication. Per World Cat probably published in 191-? . Pages are clean and tight, overall book shows signs of careful, loving use. 15 b/w illustrations and 20 b/w plates. Rear 5 pages, not numbered, have a list of the titles put out by the D. M. C. Library. Dillmont [1846-1880], may have visited the embroidery school, f. 1874, in Vienna. In 1884 she became engaged at Mulhouse in the world wide known embroidery yarn fatory. In 1886 her encyclopedia of feminine handwork was published. This book has been translated into 17 languages and it was published over and over again up to the present day. All other publication of the factory bear Th. De Dillmonts name and in many european Metropoles of the time shops were opened under her name: 1885 in Paris, 1886 in Berlin, 1887 in London, 1884 in Vienna. Printed by the Societe Anonyme DOLLFUS-MIEG & Cie, Mulhouse, France. Very scarce title. ; DMC Library Series; B&W Illustrations; 6 14 x 9; 63+ pages; Front cover looks/fells like it is covered with lace knitting. No date of publication, possibly from 1910s. Softcover appears to be missing original, paper backstrip. Clear taped at top and bottom, wrapping around front to back. Cover has rubbing/scuffing, creasing, shelfwear, bumping, nick at top of back cover. Pages show signs of having been carefully used, but clean and bright.. Very Good .
