Conditie: Good, Vergeeld maar verder in goede staat, stofomslag heeft wat scheurtjes. Introduction by Henry Miller, 16 color plates and 84 black and white plates. Upon the original publication in 1923 of Ecce Homo, Grosz was fined 6000 marks and the work condemned as "an insult to public morality". Continuing harassment and censorship of his work prompted him to turn towards America, and in 1931 he had his first one-men show in America, at the Weyhe Gallery in New York. Two years later, and only months before Hitler acceded to power, Grosz moved with his family to the United States, where he remained until 1959. In June of that year he returned to Germany, with a view toward settling in Berlin, and it was thre he died, on July 6th 1959.
