'La Maison de la Bellone offers, with 4Ecce Ubu4, a panorama of the metamorphoses of the character in the various visual arts: painting, engraving, drawing, sculpture, illustration. Indeed, since its scandalous appearance in 1896, Ubu has never ceased to challenge the creative imagination of artists to invade all spheres of contemporary culture, from the "major arts" to mass imagery. With 'Jarry Ymagier', the Rops Museum will for its part discover a wide range of the plastic work of AIfred Jarry, both in his kinship of spirit with other artists and in his profound originality.
