A research trip to the North German coast and its islands, undertaken together with H. In this book Leuckart indicated that Cuvier's Radiata types were not enough. Successively he divided Cuvier's Radiata into coelenterates and echinoderms based on anatomical and developmental relationships. Huxley describes this division as the most important advance in animal systematics since Linnaeus.
