Title: Competition for the New York Court House MCMXIII
Description: New York, Architectural Book Publishing Company, 1913. Hardbound. 3/4 blue leather on blue silk. 5 leaves of preliminary text and 88 bw plates. Oversize and heavy and will require extra postage. Guy Lowell won the competition. Other architects whose designs are included here: Geo. & Edward Blum, A. W. Brunner, Butler and Morris, Carrere & Hastings, Cass Gilbert, J. R. Gordon, Griffin & Wynkoop, Haight, Fithens & Embury, Howells & Stokes, Lafarge & Morris, H. V. Magonigle, McKim, Mead & White, Geo. B. Post, and others. The personal bookplate inside the front cover shows that this book once belonged to architect Julius Franke. Contents VG, clean and tight but with library and personal bookplates (2) inside front cover, perforation and ink stamps on title page, and stamp on closed page bottoms. Covers secure but rough: lower front corner leather missing, spine full of masking tape (but binding seems secure otherwise), and edges generally rough.
