Single issue of this haphazardly published "counter-cultural (underground) newspaper," from Jacksonville, Florida. Despite the small audience of like minds in Jacksonville, Florida, the FBI felt the paper was enough of a threat to form its own underground paper to compete with Both Sides Now, publishing two issues before giving up. This issue provides news briefings on the murder of George Jackson in prison and the Attica State Prison prisoner uprising, with the lyrics to the "Ballad of George Jackson," by Bob Dylan printed, along with the lyrics to "Attica State," by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Also present is a full page piece on John Sinclair being freed, written by Jerry Rubin; a statement from Shirley Chisholm who was running for president; a full page piece by a Black militant organization from the Jacksonville area, expressing their thoughts on a variety of issues, etc. GOOD condition. Ex-library with a stamp on the upper front cover. Mailing cancellations and stamping along the upper edge. Heavy toning to the upper half of the paper. Moderate uneven general toning. Horizontal fold crease present. Minor edgewear. Good .
