Knapp edited the Boston Gazette in 1824, and established this and the National Republican in the mid 1820's. He was noted for biographical writings (Appleton's Cyclopedia of American Biography). GOOD+ condition. Moderate chipping and creasing along the fore edge, with a few minor tears. Some toning to the paper. Interior clean and solid. Good .
