Outstanding, tight and bright first edition of this handsomely-produced volume -- and unusual, bearing choice, relevant autograph addition: Tipped to front flyleaf is a fine First Day Cover bearing a 1977 Hopi "Pueblo Art" 13-cent stamp depicting a hand-thrown pot, boldly signed alongside and crossing onto the stamp in black fineline by its designer, renowned Native American artist Ford Ruthling (1933-2015). 6½" X 3½", postally cancelled in Santa Fe, New Mexico on 13 April 1977 and with "First Day of Issue" so stamped. Color pictorial cachet at left reproduces painting "The Hopi" by American artist Lyle Tayson (1924-2014), who boldly signs in black ballpoint at bottom center. FDC is tipped in via its flap, so underside bearing explanatory text may be viewed. .
