Near fine. Woody Woodpecker sizes up the ball at his feet and prepares to swing his gold club (with bird alighted at top) in this unusual black-and-white scene against a blank background. At upper right, the cartoonist inscribes and signs in black fineline: "To / Louis / Best regards / Walter Lantz." Which of the many Woody shorts this images hails from is unclear, though there's a 1963 copyright from Walter Lantz Productions printed at lower right and on the photo's verso "Walter Lantz Studios / Hollywood, California / June 22, 1973" has been neatly inked. .
