Quite mild touch of edgewear only, else tight and internally near fine but for faint dampstain to rear endpaper (only); late 19th c. ownership signatures on front endpaper. Handsome copy of this selection of seven exercises from the writings of the 13th century German nun and mystic. Interestingly, tipped to rear pastedown is a 3" X 4½" lined sheet bearing neatly penned lofty thoughts about St. Getrude, unsigned but perhaps words of encouragement from a nun to a novitiate, seemingly of late 19th c. vintage. .
