Slightest bit of binding edgewear, with spine label chipped and age toned. Tight and attractive first edition of this slim early volume also published that same year by Garden City Press Limited in an edition of 200 signed copies in grey wrappers, the only difference being that Masefield's edition contains four more poems than the Garden City Press edition -- and is encountered far less often. Masefield boldly signs the front flyleaf in blue ink, adding his oft-quoted line, "The luck will alter & the star will rise." Quite nice and seldom seen signed. .
