Pristine, tight limited edition (unspecified) of this French coming-of-age fiction or Bildungsroman first published in 1830. This sharp copy bears a fine and bold signature addition from the popular 1954 film adaptation: Tipped to front flyleaf is a heavy stock 5" X 3" card signed hugely in black ink by DANIELLE DARRIEUX (1917-2017; portrays Madame de Rénal), who also dates it 20 September 1970 at upper right. Laid in are the publisher's "Notes from the Editors" booklet about this title as well as Darrieux's original transmittal envelope. .
