Outstanding, exceptionally tight and bright copy of this near-miniature collection of standard Roman Catholic prayers, entirely in Italian. Charming oval frontispiece titled "L'Angelo Custode" (Guardian Angel). Imprimatur at rear cites Giovanni Crivelli and dates it 29 January 1865; presumably the year of this edition as title page gives none. Extraordinary condition, with gilt as bright as the day it was applied and fully functional clasp, the only sign of wear being a bit of minor flaking to the front board image (under the glass). Quite scarce and a spectacular copy. .
