Handsome copy of the LEC's fourth title in their sixth series -- a wildly popular 1904 romance set in the Guyana jungle of southeastern Venezuela. This copy bears a fun and relevant autograph addition: in 1959 an Audrey Hepburn and Anthony Perkins romance/adventure version of "Green Mansions" was released, and tipped to inner flyleaf is a bold signature of cast member NEHEMIAH PERSOFF, the long-lived and prolific character actor (1919-2022) who here portrays "Don Panta." He signs a heavy stock 5" X 3" card in black fineline, dating it 20 April 1977 at upper right. Rear colophon notes limitation of 1500 numbered copies (this #1132) boldly signed by illustrator Wilson.
