In part: "..one can do much that is difficult in after years: for instance, one can turn one's back upon a disagreeable without looking at it over one's shoulder," signed as usual "L.B. Walford." With original stamped and cancelled envelope, addressed by Walford to an admirer in Boston, on the verso of which she pens: "With complts & thanks for yr kind note, initialed "L.B.W. .
