Signed Pencil Self-Portrait (?), 8¼" X 12", n.p. n.y. Very good. Quite minor edgewear only. Boldly pencilled head-and-shoulders sketch of a pensive man with a goatee -- self portrait? -- inscribed (in French) and signed near bottom, rough translation: "go forward / (always forward) / Gali." Inked in French along top in a different hand is (roughly translated) "Words of a great contemporary sculptor to live by" and at lower right the date "12/6/63." Curious and intriguing. .
