Apparent first edition of this fictionalized telling of an early colonial Floridian Native American love story, which title page notes as "Time April 15, 1528 to May 25, 1539." Tipped to front flyleaf is a 4¼" X 6½" sheet boldly, lengthily inscribed and signed by the author, a noted Florida artist (1886-1974): "To / The Yocums, / Trusting you will [?] / hold dear / The Conrads -- / and the Yesterdays / when you were all / Good Neighbors. / From CA Taylor / & Sister / Author of this little / Book / Myrtle Taylor Bradford / which put me in / Who's Who." Bizarre and quite uncommon. .
